Use of the GenFuture Program

GenFuture is an online future-readiness program specifically designed for young people consisting of information modules presented on an Online Learning Management System, as well as our website, services, social media channels, and other resources made available to you from time to time (the GenFuture Program).

For the purposes of this Code of Conduct, the GenFuture Program includes the following:

GenFuture aims to create an environment for young people to feel inspired to introspect, reflect and make bold, inspiring moves. GenFuture is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for everyone in the Genfuture Community regardless of disability, gender, neuro(a)typicality, political views, race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status or background. GenFuture is dedicated to bringing everyone together and encourages its members in the community to engage with each other in a safe and respectful manner.

The purpose of this code of conduct is to outline GenFutures expectations of its users’ behaviour when engaging with the GenFuture Program.

In this Code of Conduct:

• User(s) means any active user who engages in the GenFuture Program.
• Inappropriate behaviour may include, but is not limited to, ongoing or one-off behaviour that is:
• Belittling, or subtle expressions of bias;
• Verbal, physical, or written abuse or assault;
• Bullying, intimidation or victimisation;
• Discrimination; and
• Harassment.

What to do if you are been harassed or are aware of inappropriate use of the GenFuture Program?

GenFuture does not tolerate any form of inappropriate behaviour or abuse by any User of GenFuture Program, and we treat each report of such behaviour seriously. All reports made are treated as confidential.

We encourage you to report any inappropriate behaviour or concerns by contacting our team at program@genfuture.com.au.

We understand that you may not wish to provide your personal details, however we encourage you to give us as much information possible to ensure that we can adequately investigate your report.

When you make a report we encourage you to include the following details to assist with our investigation.

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Your contact number (if you feel comfortable to do so, so that we can inform you of the process of the complaint).
• Specify your preference for continued contact (e.g., email, phone or other means).
• Date(s) of incident(s).
• Where incident(s) occurred.
• Name(s) and/or handle(s) of the person in question (if known).
• Any supporting information (e.g. screenshots/photos, copy of text/media).

After you lodge your report with us, our incident the team will:

• let you know we have received it by acknowledge receipt of your report; and
• begin an immediate review of your report. If we require additional information from you to be able to do this, we may make contact with you.
• Notify you of the outcome.

Where we are able to substantiate the allegation in your report, GenFuture may at its discretion:

• Direct the user to stop immediately; and/or
• Remove the GenFuture User from one or all of the GenFuture Program; and/or
• Terminate the GenFuture User Account.

GenFuture will also take all reasonable steps to ensure that any digital footprint of an inappropriate nature (including offensive text and/or media) is removed as soon as practicable.

Should we find that the incident(s) are not in breach of our Code of Conduct, we will also notify you.
